We <3 those Mecs

I’ll just come right out and say it, I love foreigners, foreign men to be exact. I’ll even goes as far as to say that of all the foreign men, I love French men the best! This enthusiasm started a few summers ago when I had the pleasure of befriending a charming Parisian who was visiting friends in the states. It was a fortuitous encounter. One that I’ll cherish always, or at least until Mr. Right comes along. But, he was everything you’ve been lead to believe a Frenchmen might be. He was sweet, charming, funny and open, he flattered me with compliments and called me his love often, his accent was thick and his intensity thicker and it was lovely; and just because he would say sweet things in French. I was happy, but it was short lived. He soon was on his way back home and after a few months of emailing and skyping; trying to fit in time for one another between those few hours we had while he was just waking up and I was heading off to bed. Life took over and we found less and less time for one another.

Though, enough time has passed that I have moved on, I still remember him fondly when something just happens to remind me. Today was one of those days. As I was bumbling around Facebook I came across an article a friend shared about the would be French King, if France was still a monarchy. Though the article was less than interesting to me it did lead me to a great blog and an even better article: Spotting Cute French Guys on the Paris Metro. Yes, this is actually a thing! And I am glad it is. Just one look at the article and it will leave you compelled to see more. So in turn I found myself on the official Instagram page where you can get an eye full of gorgeous ‘Mecs’ on the Paris Metro.

No, I am not like the articles blogger, Messy Nessy’s friend and looking for my Paris crush. But I am glad to have found a few hundred more!
